PNP Co. participated in the first health technology conference and exhibition, on 9-10 November 2015 at Tehran University of Medical Science, Tehran, Iran. The RoboSPECT system was disclosed in the opening ceremony of the conference. Iran’s Vice-President for Science and Technology Affairs Sorena Sattari, Minister of Health and Medical Education Seyyed Hassan Ghazizadeh Hashemi and Vice-president for research and technology of Tehran Univesity Masoud Yunesian attended in the unveiling ceremony. The RoboSPECT system is designed and developed for dedicated cardiac SPECT imaging. The system uses three swivel motors delivering the robotic movements and providing the circular and noncircular SPECT movement. This design has some advantages including decreasing patient-to-detector distance during scan, open gantry design to avoid intimidating patients, and increasing the durability due to use of rotational arm instead of linear movement.
